Hey,
I got the Motif XF8 and the AKAI MPD26 (which is basically USB/MIDI Controller). I would like to control the Motif with the AKAI MPD. (Basically using the AKAI as a MASTER and Motif as the SLAVE). What I've done so far is that I connected them like this:
AKAI MPD26 - MIDID OUT>>>> into >>>>> MOTIF XF8 - MIDI IN
and my Setup (UTILITY) is Setup like this:
Basic Receive Ch. ..... Omni
Keyb. Trans. CH. ......1
Device Nr. .... All
MIDI In/out ..... MIDI
MIDID SYNC.....auto
Clock Out.....on
Sequencer Control.....in
MTC Start Offset....01:00:00:00
Bank Select.....on
Program Change.....on
Local Control.....on
Receive Bulk.....on
Controller Reset.....reset
Bulk Dump Interval.....0ms
and for some Reason i can't get it to work. Can anyone Help me with the whole process pls?
We assume you are using a standard 5-pin MIDI cable to connect the devices and that you've set your controller to use MIDI, not USB.
Everything is set on the Motif XF side, make sure you connect the Main L&R outputs to a high quality sound system.

First of all Thank you for replying . Yeah I'm using the Standart 5-PIN MIDI Cable nd yes my Motif is connected to my Interface (which is connected to my Studio Speakers). The Thing is whenever i press one of the Pads on my AKAI the Motif doesn't even do anything.
Update:
The Problem was the AKAI MPD26.
for anybody who has the same Problem check the last Page of this PDF out.
