Hi,

I have a piano voice here that is based on own sampling. It sounds pretty good but it is way to soft.
What can be done to raise its total volume level so that it doesnΒ΄t fall back in comparism to other piano voices in VOICE MODE?
In Comon Edit its level is at 127. I have tried to increase itΒ΄s loudness with the EQ501,
but when I choose the Flat EQ501 the sound of the voice gets a bit dull (I donΒ΄t understand why, because I didnΒ΄t change any of the frequencies
but just the loudness) and so I decided to leave it originally.

Any Ideas?

P.S. I know that I simply could turn up the Volume Slider πŸ˜‰

You can significantly improve the audio output of your own custom samples as follows:

Recall your Voice
Press [EDIT]
Press the Track [1] button to view Element 1 parameters
Press [F6] EQ

Each Element has its own EQ device. It can be configured as a 2-band or single band parametric EQ (to fix problems with the waveform), but it also can be used as a straight +6, +12 or +18dB boost.

Word of warning, resist the urge to use +18dB, that would only be necessary to save a sample with no redeeming value πŸ™‚
+6 or +12 dB will be more than enough boost.

Repeat for each Element in you Voice.
[STORE] your Voice.
