I have 4 layered voices in master mode. #1 how do I change the name of them? #2 how do I edit them to change individual voices #3 If they are factory sounds with annoying drum set, how do I get rid of the drum set? Thanks.

I suppose you mean to say you have a Performance in Master Mode. I would begin by getting out of Master Mode. I have yet to approach it. But, I think I'm ready. I think Master Mode is kind of like an awesome car radio favorites station.

I believe the confusion is being in Master Mode. My suggestion would be to learn some basics of Voice mode & Performance mode. Learn to edit a Voice name. Go to Performance mode; learn to change Voices that make up a Performance. ... The annoying drum sets are permanent. You can never get rid of those. No, I'm joking about the drum set thing. The quick "off" for drum set is press the arpeggio on-off button left of the screen, I believe. The XF is highly customizable.

You use of terminology (or rather the misuse) makes your question confusing. You cannot layer 4 Voices in a Master mode.

Master mode as mentioned correctly in the post above, is like a Favorite Program Bank. It's your "favorite stations" from Voice mode, from Performance mode, from Song or Pattern Mixing modes.

In Voice mode only 1 Voice can be played at a time. So a Master that recalls a Voice can only play one sound, never 4.
In Performance mode you can place 4 Voices together by placing each one in a separate PART. so you can layer four Parts in. Performance.

It is more than just semantics or word play, it's about understanding the architecture. If some one were to give you the answer but with the wrong terms you wouldn't benefit from the information. And likewise is they used the correct terms and they are meaningless to you because you don't know them, again the info fails to help.
