The Motif XS and a Steinberg MR816X are connected the the MacBook Pro via firewire.
Everything works fine with projects created in their perspective OS environments (Yosemite/Mojave). Opening a Cubase project launches the Motif XS editor, which automatically loads voices into the XS and everything is ready to go.
What I’m having trouble with is opening projects in the Mojave system that were originally created in the Yosemite system.
MIDI and audio tracks and data are all there, but the XS editor does not launch and load voices. The only solution so far has been to open the file in Yosemite, make note of the voices, open the file again in Mojave and manually assign tracks and voices.
Has anyone experienced this and found a solution? At minimum, can the voice data be found somewhere in the Cubase file without having to switch between the OS systems?
If this has been discussed before, please point me to the relevant information and I’ll give it a go from there.
Thanks in advance for your time.
