Hi, I'm looking to interface my XS rack with the notebook. I haven't the original cd because I've buyed the rack as used from a private; so I go to the Yamaha site and download the motif xs rack editor and the studio manager, but they didn't work. I've also tried to interface the xs editor with Sonar but the program didn't recognise it.
What's the trouble ?

What you wanted to download, if you were looking to down load the Editor, would have been the following two items:
1) Motif-Rack XS Editor Standalone/VST version 1.6.4 for Windows
2) USB-MIDI Driver V3.1.4 for Windows (you will need to determine 32-bit or 64-bit based on your computer)
There was no CD provided with the Rack XS. Perhaps you are referring to the DVD with Cubase AI, which was provided to the original owner... But you are using Sonar any way.
Please find and download the two items I have detailed above, to get started. You don't need Studio Manager.
