Hi, any chance there is a Remote Editor in the works similar to the one for MOXF with the ability to have templates for the control of VST's ? Thanks.

Christopher.

Sorry, I know of no plans for a REMOTE EDITOR similar to the one for the MOXF.

Much of what the MOXF REMOTE EDITOR does is built-in on the Motif XF. You don't mention any specific VSTi's but many automatically assign functions to the knobs of the Motif XF's REMOTE layer. So, in general, a Remote Editor was not necessary. (And while not all VSTi's have setups, a great number are already mapped to the knobs of the XF).

For example, if you launch HALion SE (the included multi-timbral VST) there are 17 Pages of parameters pre assigned to the XF knobs. Each Part has eight pre-selected parameters assigned to it. I don't know how many templates are built-in. Whether or not a particular VSTi shows its parameters will depend on that particular VSTi. Most automatically are setup.

If you lauch Prologue (the Steinberg VSTi analog synth) there are 22 Pages of parameters pre assigned to the XF knobs.

Here's how to access the Pages
Enter the DAW REMOTE layer on the XF front panel, its light flashes
Use the [SELECTED PART CONTROL] and [MULTI PART CONTROL] buttons to navigate the REMOTE Layers screens.
Select the "Global" layer
Press [SF1] INST - this is where you can select VST INSTRUMENTS ...make sure this INST is highlighted
Press [SELECTED PART CONTROL] to move up to the "Selected Ch" layer
Here the [F1] and [F2] PAGE UP/DOWN buttons will let you navigate the various pages of parameters of your selected VST. Which parameters are assigned and their order was determined by the plug-in.

If a VSTi does not automatically come up pre assigned you can use the MASTER mode to create your own settings for any external synth (be it hardware or software).
