Hi i'm Ricky

I use kawai digital piano to control my motif rack xs. But, I want to add other controller like novation zero sl mkii to control the rack. So I can use the kawai as master keyboard to play and use the novation as slider to control the voice volume for each midi channel and change the other parameters in the motif rack like in the keyboard version. Is that possible??

Sure, the Motif-Rack XS does not care where the commands are coming from.

Your task is to merge the signals of your two controllers. (The Rack XS will still see just the commands, and "care" nothing about which controller is generating them).

Thanks for replying

I have another question, how can I send the sustain midi signal to all midi channels in motif rack?
Because I have tried to set my midi controller into 4 zones and it worked, I can control 4 midi channels in realtime but the problem is, the sustain pedal only works on midi channel 1

Best regards 🙂

Sustain is a MIDI Control Change (cc) message - this is a Channel message - this means it is generated on the MIDI Channel or channels you are currently transmitting on. If you are transmitting on four Zones and each of those Zones is on a different MIDI Channel then you ARE sending Sustain on all four channels.
