Hello.

I'm a little embarrassed to ask, but I can't seem to find the right download to get the Rack XS Multi editor Stand-alone version with NO VST for Windows 10.

I've done this successfully on my MacBook Pro, but not having any success with my Windows 10 laptop.

The one I downloaded and tried was called motif-rack_xs_editor_sa_vst_168_win, but when I try to install it, it says that it is not compatible with my O/S version.

Obviously, this is not the right version since the installation guide is all about Cubase, and I don't have that, nor do I want it.

The only other version I can find is 1.3.0, which seems to need Studio Manager, but I don't think Yamaha offers this anymore.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Tony

That is the correct download. "sa" is short for Stand Alone... this one down load is both versions. If you have a VST3 compatible DAW a VST version will be installed in a communal folder which is accessible by the DAW. Also installed is the "Stand Alone" which can run without a DAW - it launches as a stand alone application.

Questions for you:
What is the the exact error message and in which screen does it appear?
The latest firmware for the Motif-Rack XS is version 1.04?
How are you connecting to the Rack XS, USB? FW?
