Hi there,
I've again got some troubles with installing/running Yamaha Sound Packs, this time "Inspiration In A Flash" is causing head aches. I've discovered a couple of voices, among them "Jazz Grand" (USR1-A08) and "Rock & Pop Piano CF3" (USR2-F01), to interrupt in sustain (or release) time. It sounds like a hick-up or slack joint. What's strange about it, it only happens at B3, C3 and C#3. I've attached a sound sample ( https://www.dropbox.com/s/chc9sm8ib285m22/MOXF6%20Inspiration%20in%20a%20flash%20broken%20sounds.mp3?dl=0)
I've installed the pack already 3 times and it doesn't make any difference.
MOXF6 with 512MB Flash Board.
Any help much appreciated!
Thanks,
Stefan
Given that “Inspiration in a Flash” has been out for about seven years, we can pretty much tell you the data should be fine.
Since it it is specific adjacent notes - it could be an error in the installation of a particular sample, or a bad segment on your Flash Board... impossible to tell from just this information.
Thanks Bad Mister for your feedback!
If the flash board was broken or a single sample, it wouldn't just effect 3 notes. The sample behind is the same in the element (#2) and it has no note limit identical to the notes where the issue appears.
Although the the pack is out for 7 years, could it be that MOXF operating system has progressed and wasn't checked if it's compatible with older sources?
I've installed it 4 times meanwhile and the problem is still there. Also the problem with "Ultra Piano" as described in this thread: https://www.yamahasynth.com/ask-a-question/no-sound-after-installing-ultpiano-x6a-is-there-a-solution
Other to the issues with these packs, the MOXF6 works just fine. So I tend to say it's not my MOXF6.
Thanks for any further thoughts!
Stefan

No.
