How can I make the sustain pedal non-functional on a voice on my MOX8F? I've split the keyboard so that I can play left hand bass on the lower part, and grand piano on the upper. When I use the sustain pedal it sustains both voices of the split. I need to make it so that the sustain affects the piano part only but doesn't affect the bass part. Is there a way to do this?

Yes, you can set the RECEIVE SWITCH for each PART. What this does is activate or deactivate your physical controllers for the PART.

We are going to assume you are not referring to a VOICE but a PERFORMANCE (where you can combine Voices). From your PERFORMANCE:
Press [EDIT]
Press [1] to view PART 1 parameters
You'll use buttons [1]-[4] to PART SELECT
Press [F5] RCV SW (Receive Switch)
You can deactivate the SUS pedal for a PART... as necessary
Press [STORE] to update your PERFORMANCE.

Thank you very much! Some of the factory splits actually had this ability, so I was fairly certain that it COULD be done. This instrument is amazing, but extremely difficult to learn!

This solution worked, but now I have a new problem. I split the keyboard, bass guitar on the lower keys, piano on the upper. I panned the bass all the way to the left, and the piano all the way to the right. I plugged the left output into a bass amp and the right output into a volume pedal and then into a keyboard amp. This way, I could turn up the piano volume for solos without affecting the volume of the L/H bass. Wrong! This method worked just fine on a previous keyboard setup that I had been using, but it doesn't work on my MOX8. Even though the left (bass) channel is hooked DIRECTLY to the bass amp, the volume pedal somehow changes the bass and the piano BOTH. Is there some way I can set this keyboard up so that I can use a pedal to adjust the volume of the right keys without affecting the volume of the bass?

The MOXF8 is a stereo device, with stereo effects so isolating things in separate L/R channels is not a simple matter. And not recommended...

You can absolutely control the right hand Parts with the Yamaha FC7 plugged into the Foot Controller jack.

Each Part can be made to follow or ignore the level control (called Expression).
You can set the Part RCV SW (Receive Switch) to OFF for the Bass so that it does not receive Controller 11 "Exp"
