How can I apply MW only to one part of the performance?

Hi there guys,

I'm new in this forum and this is the first question about my last purchase, the MOXF8. I'm tinkering with my new toy and I'm in a doubt. I have set up a performance with two identical clavis on 1st and 2nd parts and brasses on the 3rd. Now from the normal voice mode I can control the Sens of the WAH for my clavi via the modulation wheel. However once I try the same thing in the performance I do not get this control for neither of the clavis. I tried to find some CTLSET menu somewhere within the performance mode but I could't.
So my question is: how can I gain control of the WAH effect on the two clavis via the MW in the performance mode?

Thanks in advance 😉

UPDATE: I noticed that this problem occurs only when I place two same clavis on two different parts. So I updated the question above.

What is the location of the Clavi Voice in VOICE mode... Is it in Preset or User area?
What does the Performance report as the location of Voice in Parts 1 and 2?

I'm thinking you edited a Preset, stored it to a USER location, and then are not using that User Clavi in the Performance.

Yes, that's exactly what I've done and I've saved the new intrument in the USR2 location, but I also renamed it so as to distinguish it easily.

The performance reports the two identical clavis as located in the USER location. So I think this might not be the problem. As I wrote, this issue does not occur when there is only one clavi in the performance but only when there are two. Moreover it appears that the WAH effect is not applied for neither of the clavis as soon as I add the second clavi to the performance. Could it be a problem with the Effects routing? (Just guessing)

I guess we'll need a bit more information about which Insertion Effect you are using and your assignment of "Sens" to the MW. We assume you are referring to the VCM TOUCH WAH, is that right?

Absolutely right sir, I used as a basis voice the Touch Clavi. I then changed some values (Bottom, Sens, Type and Output) in the INSA tab, which is the Touch Wah Insertion Effect by default for this particular clavi. I then configured the first control set from the CTLSET tab, with MW(01) as the source and INSA:EfWSens as the destination. It all worked just fine until I put two of this newly configured voice in the Performance. What could be the problem here?

Thanks for the prompt support 🙂

I think this problem might be a bug, I'm not particularly compelled by it because I found another solution but it may be of your interest for a diagnosis of the issue.
