Yamaha MOXF 81 Keyboard and VST Pianos.
(Yamaha MOXF 81 Cubase Pro (10.5) 64B UR44 Kontakt Pro 6.2 or other sources)
I am not sure if this question belogs to Yamaha or Cubase
As short as possible:
All connected via USB. Selecting a VST Instrument (Rack) (This time a violin for example) using the Keys of they MOXF 81 - everything is working fine!
Same condition but selecting a VST Piano There is a sound, but the sound is muted and kind of dull.
This will take place on any VST Piano on different sources. ie not only Kontakt
Playing the on-screen-keys of the selected Piano, the sound is bright and clear.
Has anybody a clou? Since this will take place only with VST Pianos, I assume it has something to do with midi or part of the internal keyboard sound will also
also interfere via USB.
Searched the Internet and this Forum for a solution, no answer found.
Will send small audio-files to hear the difference upon request.
Thank you for taking your time to read this

When users play VST instruments using their keyboards sometimes the internal sounds will unintentionally sound at the same time and can create phase issues between the VST and internal keyboard sounds.
I'm not sure what the intent is (VST only, VST+internal MOXF layered) and not altogether sure what is happening. There are settings to turn off internal sounds if that is the intent.

Dear Jason,
thank you for the fast reply. This was a good advise!
The intention was to play the VST Instrument only.
I am trying to find the subject in the manuals
If I fail, I will be back.
Keep healthy

One way is:
[UTILITY] "Settings" -> "Advanced", set parameter "Zone Master" to ON
All Parts you do not want to play local tone generator sounds:
Edit the Part, then "Part Settings" -> "Zone Settings" and set the parameter "Zone" to ON and parameter "Int Sw" to OFF.
