Make a performance part / sequencer track mono?

I'd like to make performance parts and sequencer tracks output in mono (rather than stereo) so that I can hard pan them to give myself 2 separate mono outputs. (I need to feed some parts only to a drummer and other parts only to a PA. Is this possible? I assume there are insert effects that can do this (suggestions?), but I would prefer not to rely on those since they can only solve the problem for 8 tracks, and some of my sequencer-mode "performances" use more than 8 tracks. Thanks.

Performance PARTS default to being routed to the main L&R output, which is stereo. You can pan any Part hard left or hard right, but for your use things are going to be optimum. It is not designed for what you have in mind.

The Assignable Output function in the MOXF-series is digital only. You have two sets of stereo outputs when recording to computer (USB1/2, 3/4). What you want to do would be better handled in an instrument like the Motif XF.

The Motif XF has two sets of stereo analog outputs, the main L&R, and an assignable pair of analog outputs. You can discreetly assign Parts to the Assignable outputs which removes them from the main stereo mix... Ideal for sending certain Parts discreetly to the drummer.

Your idea about panning things into mono will greatly degrade your overall sound to accomplish something that will not be completely discreet... System Effects and many of the Insert Effects are Stereo. You'd be sacrificing too much.

Sorry, the MOXF, by itself is a stereo analog output unit, period.
You have some options if you are using a computer, but you didn't mention one.

Let us know.

Thanks for the input, Bad Mister. I was aware of those factors, but I am trying to find a passable workaround for the machine that I've got. This is for live situations, so I'm hoping to keep my my computer out of the equation. (I play through a mono keyboard amplifier, so I've been dealing with the issue caused by L+R mono for a while and with acceptable results).

Having said that: Any other takers? Are there any insert effects that can create an L+R mono signal?
