Hi Everyone,

I bought second hand MOXF6 and started using it with Studio One incl. VST MOXF Editor. I Read article from Bad Mister HERE and I would like to ask to following:
1. In Setup - I have no options in Port 1 (MIDI IN / MIDI OUT) - Just in Port 4 according the picture in the article. Is it problem and how could I fix it?
2. Under "File" there is no VSTi SETUP choice - also wenn I use VST version in Studio One.

Thanks for your help
Petr

Having no options for Port 1 could be a problem since Music, Controller’s and Tempo all travel via Port 1

The article you refer to addresses Cubase. It is bound to be different (similar but different) to setup inside of Studio One.

It sounds like you are running the MOXF Editor as a standalone, I don’t know Studio One at all so I could not tell you how to launch VST3 plugins in Studio One… but that is what you need to do.

Once you open a Studio One session, you want to setup to run a VSTi plugin… that is how you launch the MOXF VST… same as you would any plugin synth.

As for Port 1 - in MIDI IN is no choise and in MIDI OUT is written "not Assigned". From your answer I did not understood, whether it is a Problem or I cal let it be.

I checked once again MOXF Editor and it seem like really to be VST3 version (not standalone). Also in Help-> about is written: MOXF6 / MOXF8 Editor VST 1.6.8. What for is actually this setting under VSTi Setup...do I need to have acces to it?

Thank you, according this video and article, it seem not to be a problem, when I have no options by Port 1 - importnant is port 4.

VST version still do not show me VSTi Setup...is it worth to solve it or let it be?

I marked the time. When you add an instrument the setup showing MIDI channels should also show the port. I show this because it shows what MOXF Port 1 looks like in at least the version of Studio One covered by the video. Blurry - but still reasonable as a reference.

I made the Setup exactly like the video, it means regarding instrument, Recieve / send Port is set to Nr1. That is why I do not understand why by synchronization is shown just port 4 and port 1 is not assigned. When you look on 7:18 in refering video, he has it identically like me (Port 1 not assigned and Port 4 he is changing to port 4 - visible in 7:40). But on another hand, at the first sight it seems, that it works.

I see - it seems your questions around Port 1 & Port 4 are focused on the MOXF Editor MIDI setup. That's a different tree than I was barking up.

The only instrument-side setup is to:

Make sure the MOXF is set to communicate via USB. You do so by pressing [UTILITY] > [F6] MIDI > [SF4] OTHER. Set the MIDI In/Out parameter to USB. (The Editor cannot be run with just a 5-pin MIDI interface).
