I have a CP4 and am very happy with it. I previously had am XF8 and now miss only the MIDI sequencer. So I am wondering if I buy a MOXF6 and connect it to the CP4 via MIDI, can the MOXF6 record in its sequencer the notes played on the CP4 and communicated to the MOXF6 via MIDI? Thanks in advance.

Yes. Of course.
A track on the MOXF sequencer can be used for an internal and/or an external device.
You can "mute" the internal MOXF Part during record, play the keys of the CP4 Stage. RECORD the track. Then on playback set the Track data to only trigger the external device. Each Track can be set to Internal or External, both or neither as you may require.
