MOXF6 with cubase 9.5 pro. Connected with the USB cable controls MOX Cubase by keys!? If I am playing, some keys will activate certain functions within Cubase, track up, save as, select… Does any one has experienced this behaviour? who has an idea where I can find the solution?

The Remote DAW Control function uses specific Keys to open and close windows, or Note events are used to execute certain routines.
If you are getting this behavior in an unwanted way, it’s because you have a MIDI routing issue which is allowing normal key-on events into the “remote control” path.

You want to keep Remote Control commands on their own discreet MIDI Port.

The USB connection between the computer and the MOXF is a multi-port communication. A “port” being a MIDI IN/OUT pair.

Port 1 is all music, controller and tempo communication between the MOXF and computer
Port 2 is for DAW Remote Control commands between the MOXF and computer
Port 3 is the 5-pin MIDI IN and MIDI OUT jacks on the back panel
Port 4 is used by the MOXF6/MOXF8 VST Editor
Port 5 is used by the MOXF VSTi Remote Control (you can create custom templates for your favorite VSTi’s)

Go to STUDIO > STUDIO SETUP > MIDI > MIDI Port Setup > make sure the Port 1 is marked in the IN ALL MIDI INPUTS column.

This sets which port will communicate with the MIDI Track. Ensure Port 2 is NOT marked.
Mark “Port 3” only if you have something connected to the MOXF’s 5-pin MIDI jacks.
Unmarked both Ports 4 and 5.

In the REMOTE DEVICES folder make sure MOXF6/MOXF8-2 (Port 2) is set for both MIDI IN and MIDI OUT
