Hello all. I’m a big fan of Yamaha synths and workstations. I have a Moxf6 that I’ve kept in pristine condition and I am possibly considering selling it as I purchase a MODX7 instead. However , for the past several months the display screen will show up blank. The sounds and all the functions (that I’ve memorized) all work perfectly , it’s just that I can confirm anything visually or further edit or browse because the screen doesn’t work. It’s lit up but displays nothing. The issue cleared up out of the blue for a few days and then reverted to the same issue. Now it just came back on but every time I enter any function (changing a tone, selecting any parameter, or simply pressing a button) the screen flashes blank while refreshing. Any help ?

That sounds like a loose connection, but it could be a failing part. You will want to contact Yamaha or an authorized repair center. You might want to try calling Customer Support first — they maybe able to talk you through checking for a loose connection, or they may simply recommend you take it to get looked at.
Either way contact a qualified service person... do not attempt to fix it yourself... the act of taking the instrument apart is not recommended unsupervised — they will be able to help you diagnose the problem and tell you the best steps to take.

Sounds like my issue too. Did you solve it in the meantime? What was the problem?
