Please see the following article on the VST EDITOR, especially the "Special note for users with an external audio interface"

MY QUEST to fully appreciate and use my new MOXF with existing hardware and software

I gave up using the PCI EMu Sound Card because I cant get the return audio channel to work - Yes it does play fine but I cannot use the Stein berg-Yamaha driver with my ASIO driver for the EMU card which I would need to get the audio past the Cakewalk Pro DAW I'M Using. I really want to simplify and have the audio channel come back thru the DAW LEVEL control on the MOXF(need Stein berg-Yamaha) ASIO driver for this to happen. Secondly I am forced to use CuBase 9.5 not SONAR if I want to use the VST which brings the audio back. So I am stuck with 44.1 KHZ. the Stein Berg-Yamaha ASIO driver. Yamaha/Stein berg has disabled port One so I cant use SONAR (VST only works on CuBase DAWS). I guess VST 3 Compatible means Steinberg - port 1 disabled. Cakewalk (MOTIF) Instrument defs have been disabled in CuBase & this is only good for original voices so I gave that up too trying to get them to work with Cakewalk Sonar PRO. I have a lot of money invested in cakewalk - and now they are gone!

On another note I just received my flash Board Expansion 512Meg and although it took better part of a day I love the BAD MISTER instructions - They were very thorough and detailed. Mine worked the 1st time and I even deleted some wav files and installed a couple of other good voices. I may still purchase the Melas Waveform editor as it looks like a BIG time saver, but you need to pay your dues and manually install Perf, Voices. Songs etc the hard way as Bad Mister says in the Premium Content You Tube Link, AND DON'T install duplicate Wave forms - this can be a pain! Optimize and SAV-all as you add new content so you can go back to what you last did.

Thanks to BAD MISTER for his detailed instructions, the Flash was the least of my problems. Now I need to tackle the VST Editor which I wish had more John Melas functionality.. My advice to anyone is read everything you can get your hands on about MOXF - spend a month reading, like I did - Blogs Modifator notes etc, and mainly Yamaha synth forums. The info has probably already been covered somewhere if you are willing to give up your Non Stein berg DAW which will not support port 1 MIDI (VST EDITOR) . Oh i tried the standalone editor but only editor and MOXF are synced up any thing you do on editor and MOXF, needs to be done in duplicate on your non Stein berg DAW (not synced up).

Read all 5-10 manuals provided by Yamaha and Stein berg - REF manuals - remote editors - standalone Editors- vst editors -cubase9.5 operations. It's all out there, just hard to get your arms around.
