Your computer thinks you have three MOXFs as it is listing the MIDI Port Setup as “3- Yamaha MOXF6/MOXF8-1” which means either you have three instances of the MOXF VST Setup or your Computer is reading your setup wrong. That is the issue.

After few hours on the web I found the way to fixed this problem .
In order to get rid of extra numbering which is placed in front of port name description 3 - Yamaha MOXF6/MOXF8 - you have to delete your computer USB hub history

It is a Windows issue, that quite naturally becomes our issue... we cannot really do Windows support beyond a certain point. But if you’re running an older version of Windows you’re best best is consult the Internet for Windows geeks/experts. If you're setting up normally, there will be but one instance of the MOXF and all will be fine. Try to always use the same physical port for each product you connect... where Windows seems to create duplicates is when plug the device into a different Port, it sees it as a second, then third device (apparently). Don’t hear about much in current Windows 10... either because it doesn’t occur or because Windows users have figured how to work around it.

I did the USB history purge as Peter's link described, and I always use the same physical port to my moXF. But I still have the same port name "3. Yamaha moxF..." Using Win7, so that might be an issue. I'll try the reddit group.

Maybe my USB arrangement is causing a system issue? I have a USB hub (4-port) where my "upstream port" connects to my PC, and one downstream port goes to my moXF, and another to a Moog Grandmother. My primary use at this point it to allow the moXF clock to set my GM clock, which works very well.
But maybe this is causing Cubase to see too many ports? (Grandmother is recognized in Cubase.)

See if it works
If it does, then you will know if it is the cause.
(When seeking help, you should mention anything like a “hub”... it should be your first culprit!)
