Hi,
I am new here. I have a MO-XF and want to know if there is any way that I can keep a drum arp going, over the top of different soloed tracks within a performance. Of If there is a way I can do something that will give me similar results. To sum up, I need to be able to keep the same drum arp, I have created, playing over the top of different voices, as I might be able to do in MainStage with an audio file for example, yet with the flexibility arps give me.
I hope this makes sense.
Regards
Harry
Welcome to Yamaha Synth!
There are several ways to keep a drum groove going while playing on top of it with other sounds...
You can do this in Performance mode... you will find several examples of this in the Factory Performances.
You can do this in Pattern mode... you will find several examples of this in the Factory demonstration Patterns
You can do this in Song mode... you will find several examples of this in the Factory demonstration Songs.
The MOXF in VOICE mode plays one sound at a time.
In PERFORMANCE mode you can combine any 4 VOICES... Lets put a quick one together using a keyboard sound and a drum kit... here’s how:
Call up a VOICE in VOICE mode... try the Full Concert Grand.
Press the button in the Performance Creator area labeled [DRUM ASSIGN]
You will be placed in PERFORMANCE mode and taken to Category Search to find a Drum Kit Voice
Pick a Drum Kit... initially a list of “All” kits will be shown...highlight the word “All” press enter to see the list... select a Kit, press [ENTER]
You can change the kit and Arpeggio type but you’ve created a New Performance with the sound you selected as a starting point and a Drum Kit. It’s that easy.
