I just bought a MOXF8 and i cant use it on my pc.
I have a Windows 7 64 Bit OS. 8 Ram. I used a Focusrite Saffire Pro 14.
I have installed every single program on the manual but i still cant use my MOXF8!!!
1) Yamaha Steinberg USB - DONE
2) MOXF8 Editor Standalone - DONE
3) MOXF8 Remote Tools - DONE
4) Cubase AI9 - DONE
Click on the images that i attached so you cant tell what is wrong with this. My Casio CTK 3000 was just plug and play and it worked fine.
You need to connect your MOXF to your computer with a USB cable.
Navigate to the Windows “CONTROL PANEL”
Double click on the icon for Yamaha Steinberg USB driver
That is the screenshot we need to see...
Hi, i connect my MOXF to my computer with the USB cable that comes with this synth.
But the driver i install, doesnt recognize this instrument.
It says that this driver is not "firmed" by Yamaha and Windows requires a "firmed" driver.
The version of the driver i download is the 19.10 - 2
YSUSB_V1910-2_Win
Please help me!
The phrase "sin firmar" from the message in Error 1.png translates as "unsigned" rather than "not firmed". Windows seems to be complaining about YSUSB being an unsigned driver. Sorry I can't help more, but maybe this translation will help someone else point you in the right direction.
Thank you Lex. Bad Mister, any help please? I dont know what to do...
Press [UTILITY] > [F6] MIDI > [SF4] OTHER
Make sure MIDI I/O = USB
Press STORE
Thanks for the help Bad Mister and Lex! I found out what it was.
It turns out that i needed to download the previous version of the firmware. Not the version 19.10 but 19.9
YSUSB_V199_Win
Now i can use this synth as a midi controller and more!
Damn! I love the moxf8 SO MUCH!!!
You are using Windows 7... so as long as your computer operating system is that old, you probably will not see any more updates for it. This is why when someone says “I have the latest driver” it is completely meaningless... the right driver is NOT always the “latest”... the right driver is the one that matches your computer’s operating system.
Glad you got that worked out... enjoy!
