Trying to use more of the capability of my keyboard. Recently working with the arpeggios.

First question deals with the Main Categories. I am not sure what all the abbreviations stand for....did not see a list explaining them. for example what is ApKb. I am assuming it signifies Keyboard. Similar ones for other instruments. I thought then that those specific arpeggios would only be intended to use with that specific type of instruments but I saw some of the canned drum performances using ApKb numbers.

Also the prefixes before the Arp name likely signify something. two letters, like MA or BE. Some assumptions. M meaning main. E meaing end maybe. Is there a list expaining these.

last for now.....some of the arpeggios seem to create chords on some instruments from a single note is this a canned feature of the arpeggio or do you hae to do some thing special to set that up.

Thanks.

ApKb = Acoustic Piano/Keyboards. See Page 11 of the Reference Manual for a translation of the Main and SubCategory headings.

Also the prefixes before the Arp name likely signify something. two letters, like MA or BE. Some assumptions. M meaning main. E meaing end maybe.

The two letter prefixes are as follows:
MA, MB, MC, MD = M is Main Section, the second letter is complexity from simple (A) to more complex (D)
FA, FB, FC... = F is Fill-in, the second letter is complexity
BA, BB ... = B is Break, the second letter is complexity
IA, IB... = I is Into, the second letter is complexity
EA, ... = E is Ending, the second letter is complexity

some of the arpeggios seem to create chords on some instruments from a single note is this a canned feature of the arpeggio or do you hae to do some thing special to set that up.

See page 12 of the Reference Manual: “Arpeggio Type Name” _ES type, and _XS type are explained.

The Reference Manual is available as a pdf download from the official MOXF Download Page:

Thanks again. I had read that earlier but trying to digest that reference manual is imposing. So much in it and confusing to us neophytes. Guess I did not absorb it because I was not working on Arpeggios at the time. Appreciate your patience.

Been spending lots of time with the Data List and the Reference Manual.....the owner's manual is very minimal. Wish they had given paper copies of those two.....do they sell them by any chance. I can print them out but that is over 300 pages. Would be nice to have a book to highlight and add comments.

Have not even tried to make Cubase work yet. That was a 600 page manual I think. So much to absorb. Really taking away from my actual practice time. Sort of bad, I do not really play the instrument know, I explore it instead.

On my sheet music know, I have to list what performance to use, Tempo settings, arpeggios, etc. lots of data and scribbled notes.
