I'm unable to download steinberg prologue and my yc-3b is unable to connect to cubase.

These are separate software packages that run on your computer. They have nothing, whatever, to do with the integration of your MOXF with Cubase AI7!

For any assistance on this you will need to tell us the version of Cubase AI7 and the type of computer and computer operating system you are running.

Please locate your Access Code. In the box with your MOXF you received a method to optaional this software Access Code. Depending on when and where you purchased the MOXF, you may have a piece of paper that provides the codes. In order to use the copy of Cubase AI7 you need to create a MySteinberg Account, and Register you software. Also installed with Cubase is the eLicenser application - which manages the activation, registration and authorization of your software. It is in this application that you enter the code. Make sure you have the latest update to the eLicenser software.

You can download the latest version of the Yamaha YC-3B VST organ from http://download.yamaha.com
To use the software you will need to authorize it for use on your computer. This requires a code to license it on your computer. That is your personal code, your personal access to using these products.

You launch the YC-3B as follows:
Launch Cubase and open a Project (Empty)
Go to DEVICES > VST INSTRUMENTS > the instrument rack appears with empty slots. Click in slot 1, select "YC-3B"
You will be asked to create a MIDI Track for this VST.
The YC-3B folder will be contained within the VST INSTRUMENT folder in the Track Inspector.
There will be an audio lane and an automation lane in addition to the MIDI Track.
The MIDI Track records your performance as MIDI data, the audio lane manifests that signal as audio data coming from the outputs of the virtual YC-3B.

The Steinberg VST, Prologue, should be installed when you install Cubase AI7. You will need the Access code that came with the MOXF to gain access to the license. You launch it in a similar manner within Cubase, as a VST Instrument

Please locate this documentation if your issue is installing. If it is finding it, let us know.
Have you created a MySteinberg Account?
If yes, please send them an email, immediately about issues with the eLicenser connecting. Again verify that you are using the latest version of the eLicenser software.

I am having some problems with YC-3B too.
Some weeks ago it worked, now when I do
"Launch Cubase and open a Project (Empty)
Go to DEVICES > VST INSTRUMENTS > the instrument rack appears with empty slots. Click in slot 1, select "YC-3B"
You will be asked to create a MIDI Track for this VST."
I am not asked to create a track and the black space in the VST rack window is still black. It refuses to load YC-3B and doesn't give any error output.
I've tried to update the Plugin information from the plugin information windows but nothing happens.
What else could I check?
Thank you.

Hi Luigi Maria,

Since the original poster has a solution, you have a different issue. Please provide information about your situation. Since yours is a different issue you should also start a new thread - this way your solution will have its own documentation.

You've posted in the MOXF forum but the issue you are having is clearly computer related. And you've given us no real information about your situation. We don't mind answering these but you do have to provide:
What type of computer
What operating system the computer is running
What version of Cubase you are running
What version of the YC-3B you installed
Since you say it worked "some weeks ago" we can assume you registered and installed it. But that is the only information you have provided.

You say you tried to update the "Plug-in Information" ... but what does the Plug-in Information area report about YC-3B? You did not say other than "nothing happens" (?) - what was supposed to happen?
In the "Plug-in Manager" do you see the YC-3B listed as a VST INSTRUMENT? - what is the version?
