My name is Gregory. I am running MAC system. Trying to get everything running together with my MOXF6. Remote Editor will not setup with cubase. Cubase is not there to select. Also, cannot run a full scan VSTI because it is grayed out. VST Standalone is running and will connect with cubase to test record and playback. want to get all working together. Thanks for the help!!!!
The MOXF6/MOXF8 Editor Standalone/VST is a dual install... two version of the software were installed. One can actually run inside of Cubase as a VST Instrument. You would only run the Standalone version when not using the DAW (Cubase).
After completing installation of the MOXF6/MOXF8 Remote Editor, start the DAW software once then quit it. This operation is necessary to scan through the DAW software for obtaining the VSTi-related information. Only DAW software produced by Steinberg (such as Cubase) can be scanned.
it will look for the installed VSTi, the next time you launch it everything should be found. This is, of course depending on the version of Cubase you are running. Are you running Cubase Pro? Cubase AI? Are running series 7, 7.5, 8, 8.5, 9 or 9.5?
Same problem here with Remote Editor ("Cubase is not there to select. Also, cannot run a full scan VSTI because it is grayed out."). I and another person have posted about it before - you might find the thread if you do a search.
All the other Yamaha software for the MOXFPC/DAW integration runs perfectly, it's just Remote Editor that doesn't work. I contacted Steinberg about it but never heard back so I just gave up. My system is a Windows 10 PC, not a mac.
David.
I am running Cubase A1 9 on MAC. " Other" is the only selection for setup remote editor. I cannot run full scan VSTI. It is grayed out.
Can anyone post a screenshot?

VSTI is grayed out.
Contact Steinberg through your MySteinberg Account, Cubase cannot find your VST Plug-ins Folder.
ok! Thanks!
Mine is exactly the same. If you do hear back from Steinberg and manage to fix it, would you mind posting the solution back here? (I contacted Steinberg but never heard anything back - hopefully you'll have more luck). David.
@ David
You too, can contact Steinberg through your My Steinberg Account.
