Hi there (I'm a newbee on the MOXF) - is there any way to route a drum track out of a separate stereo audio output relative to a standard keyboard track that's being played live at the same time. The idea would be so that the live sound engineer has control over the levels of the keyboard and drums independently. I get that the physical keyboard only has one set of stereo outs, is it possible to do this via the USB or something else? thanks in advance

Audio via USB is digital. This means it is just a series of zeros and ones, and cannot be heard without D-to-A conversion.

If you want separate audio outputs (for the sound engineer) you'll need to move up the synthesizer product line. The MOXF features just one stereo Output pair.

While you could isolate any Part for separate recording via USB, it is not a practical method to deliver audio to a live sound engineer.

ah ok, that's a shame, but understandable given the pricepoint of the MOXF. What's the next level product that you'd recommend that would deliver this requirement?

The Motif XF and the MONTAGE are capable of doing this

The only other alternative is to buy a cheap drum sample module and assign your MOXF to channel 10 in your track mode or multitimbral mode and use the drum module for click outs or drum samples out to be mixed separately from the MOXF. For example, a legacy Akai MPC machine or MPX8 drum sampler with assignable pads.
