I got many questions about the Cubase interface with the MX that I got, I mean how can you interact with the interface correctly: for example I press one voice in the MX for example piano, but in Cubase I hear another voice from example guitar, so I hear it two sounds in the same time but just one of it is going to be recorded so that Make my head a mess :S D:

You have to learn how to setup your MX so that it does not play itself. Sounds strange. But you are going to disconnect the MX keyboard from the MX tone engine. This is so that when you press a key, the MIDI information travels to the computer (first). In the Computer you will use a MIDI Track to REDIRECT that messages on a specific MIDI Channel numbered 1-16 before sending the message back to the MX. So by disconnecting your MX keybed from the MX tone engine, you can decide which of the MX tones sound in response to each track. (If you do not disconnect this routing you will play and hear two different sounds. One is the MX playing direct, the other is the signal playing through Cubase)...

Say you select a Track in Cubase and it is assigned to MIDI channel 12. When you play the MX keys instead of playing the MX sound, those key presses travel to the Cubase Track 12 and are "echoed back" to the MX on MIDI channel 12 and will play whatever VOICE you have set for PART 12. See your previous question for details about multi-tracking.

When working with a computer DAW like CUBASE - you will set the LOCAL CONTROL = OFF. This disconnects the MX keybed from the MX tone engine. So that only MIDI messages are sent OUT and must be ECHOED back to the MX via the USB cable.

How can I change the speaker from my yamaha to my speakers from my computer?

You don't. Computer speakers are terrible. I say that without even knowing what speakers you have. The MX is its own MIDI and AUDIO interface. The SOUND will always come out of the speakers connected to your MX. We presume you have purchased a good set of studio monitors for your MX to play through. Forget about your computer speakers - they will NOT be used.

See pages 22 and page 27 of the MX49/MX61 REFERENCE MANUAL for diagrams showing the basic setup for MIDI and Audio recording with a DAW. In both cases audio is output to speakers connected to the main Left/Right outputs of the MX.

can I use at the same time another input like my Microphone or one external analog-digital mixer?

We cannot answer that question fully because you have failed to identify what type of computer you are using. The MX has no microphone input, sorry. It can be its own AUDIO Interface and it can act as a MIDI INTERFACE for itself and one external device.

You can connect several things to your computer, what you can connect and how it will connect will very much depend on the type of computer and the operating system you are running on that computer.

Question makes no sense, sorry. The MX is a real instrument (not virtual). You will set it up in your computer according to the computer type and operating system you are running. Let us know and we can point you to an appropriate step-by-step setup routine.

What I have for speaker is a Marshall amplifier 15 watts for guitar, I'm new in this I don't know how good or bad is that, but for example if I buy a headphones for example Sony or sennheiser, i don´t what are the best but i hear both are good; should I connect that in my computer or in my Yamaha keyboard because I don't have a bad computer is an armed computer with Asus technology it also have plug or optical sound in 7.1 surround sound I don't know if you can make a surround sound mixers in cubase but it might be interesting if you could

what I mean whit 2 input for audio is that, can I record with microphone connected to my computer and the yamaha MX in the same time or for example I but the Yamaha MG12XU, I have to chose what i am gonna use between the MX and the MG12XU console or I can use it both?

The word "Channels" are used to refer to several different things in Cubase. In formal use MIDI Channel is always a number from 1-16 and refers to a communication line between two digital musical devices. When you record MIDI data to a sequencer, each instrument part is assigned to a different "Channel" number 1 through 16.

For example, say you record Piano first, the MIDI notes are assigned MIDI Channel 1. Then while listening back to the piano, you add a new MIDI track that is a flute melody, to keep the notes you play from also sounding on a piano, you assign the flute track to MIDI channel 2, this will keep its data separate from the piano's data...and so on.

When I refer to Channel I mean MIDI channel. The word "channel" is also uaed to refer to a signal path through a *mixer*. A Cubase mixer channel carries signal from one place to another within the program. If you create an Audio track for example, it may be given the default name Auidio 01 and appear as channel 01 on the mixer, then Audio 02, Audio 03, and so on. You can rename these mixer channels anything you like. Most people name them by the instrument sound or part that is heard through that channel - if you leave them as the default numbers I guess you could get confused. But MIDI is one thing AUDIO is something very separate. MIDI channels are one thing AUDIO channels are a different thing.

That is terrible for your synthesizer... you seem to know it for a guitar. Guitar VOICES from the keyboard will sound great through your guitar amp. Everything else will sound terrible. 🙂

It's pretty bad. New to this or not, you can hear.! 🙂 You can judge. Anyone who can hear can be a judge about how good or bad this is. A guitar amp for your music is not good. Yes it allows you to hear, but there is easily BETTER kinds of speaker systems for your synthesizer. The guitar amp is monophonic. Your synthesizer is a stereo device... it will require a stereo sound system to fully hear what it is doing. This is very important.

Could you play it in mono? Yes, you could. It is like talking and listening to some one on a telephone. Yes, it is okay, sure, you can hear them, but as to how good or bad a telephone is as an audio device. It is terrible. It is bad, it is easy to do better!!! Do you want to listen to music on this audio device? NO, no, no, no. Guitar amp is better than telephone for your synthesizer, Headphones will be BETTER than guitar amp... Good STUDIO MONITORS will be BETTER than headphones... and so on

I do not know which is best either. That is for you to decide. Make sure the headphones you get are *comfortable*. That is as important as the sound quality. It does not matter if they SOUND GREAT if they are UNCOMFORTABLE. So make sure YOU try them yourself. Like buying shoes - only YOU will know if they fit.

But right away, any headphones you decide on will be way BETTER than the guitar amplifier! Why?
1) they are stereo. Both ears will receive different musical signals and music sounds better in stereo
2) they are full range... this means they are designed to be and are capable of reproducing all musical frequencies (not JUST those that enhance a single instrument, like a guitar).

You connect them to your Yamaha MX keyboard. You will be replacing the sound capabilities of your computer with the Yamaha MX keyboard. The Yamaha keyboard will BECOME your AUDIO and MIDI interface for the computer. It literally replaces the computer's Soundcard functions. So when you connect the Yamaha keyboard to your computer, the computer's audio system is automatically going to be turned completely OFF. All sound functions for the computer will be handled by the Yamaha keyboard. Hope that is clear.

Ha! Where to begin... lets just stay with STEREO (simply left and right output) all audio will be handled by your keyboard (left and right) STEREO. You have two ears, use just two speakers.
