Hi there!
When I originally bought my MX61 I made a few of my own performances using the Vycro software.
I think I made a .X5A file containing the original factory performances and settings before overwriting with some with my own performances.
I understand the factory performances can be reloaded via a system reset, however as I now have the Melas Tools, I was wondering if there was a Total Librarian file available with the original factory performances, so that I could just audition and bring back particular factory performances only?
Hi there!

Not that I know of… and since the MX itself will always have “placeholder” data in each Performance slot… it would seem a better way to put together just the particular factory Performances you want, by doing it in the Melas Tools. Open the factory Performances in Melas… drag and drop the ones you wish to keep, into a New Melas File.
Open an empty file, and simply fill it with the Performances you wish to keep… then you can put just those Performances into your MX.
Thanks Bad Mister,
Open the factory Performances in Melas
Just to confirm my understanding - to open a Melas Library file containing the factory performances, I would need to create the library myself via a factory reset and then do a save of the factory performances and voices to the Melas Editor?
Yes, you may already have a backup of the Factory Performances. What you are going to do is create a blank Performance template in the Editor and drag n drop just the items you want into it.
Upon completion you can send that data to your MX.
There maybe quicker or better ways to do this…For details on the best way to use the John Melas Tools for MX, you can reach out to John. He’ll be happy to hear from you.
