Record levels when recording to a DAW can be affected by velocity with which you play, as well as the individual parameters within the synthesis engine. Individual Voice Volume can be accessed via System Exclusive (Parameter Change) messages (Data List booklet). When working in the computer DAW environment you may find the need to adjust the individual instrument Volume (for the purpose of record level).

We highly recommend the John Melas Complete Pack (MX TOOLS) - this suite of Editors gives the power user access to all the parameter messages only accessible via Sysex.

Volume is a function of the analog world, while record level is very much a function of the digital world (when recording audio via USB).
Are you using the Melas Editor?
Do you currently send Sysex from your DAW?
