Hopefully you have the Owners Manual, the Reference Manual, and the Data List booklet.

On page 52 of the Data List booklet is a list of Controller Set Destinations; all of the potential parameters that can be controlled.
On page 52 of the Reference Manual is where the Control Set is explained... a Controller Set consists of a SOURCE (a physical controller), a DESTINATION (a specific parameter), and a DEPTH (how much and in what direction the control data is change).

If I recall Assign 1 sends cc16, Assign 2 sends cc17.

I don't know why your called BM you seem to be a very helpful guy?
And I want you to know I appreciate it

Anyways maybe my keyboard is a newer version just got it 3 months back.... but AS1 is 7 & AS2 is17
and 7 seems to work for Volume. What Im still trying to figure out can I manually change the CC modes
on these preset assigns? or are they not editable

What Im trying to achieve if its possible... "I saw it on youtube but cant understand the language and he goes quickly with the
tutorial"....I want to use an 88 weighted key keyboard midied with the Yamaha MX61 so as I play
I get both the Layer coming thru ie piano and string with the 88 keyboard.

With the VycroMX Editor you suggested thanks BTW.... I can have both the layer on midi channel 1 no problem. Except
Id like an individual volume, 1 for piano 2 for string. Can this be done with my Yamaha MX61???
and how to do it?

again thanx BM
