NOTE: Testing of the various Knob Controls on the MX did appear to work with the various synth instruments in Reason. However, Reason does have the option of a MIDI Multichannel Control Keyboard, which would require manually setting “Remote Overrides” to control the selected Synth options with the MX surface.
NOTE: In some cases when adding a MIDI control Instrument track the Yamaha will not automatically be mapped to the MIDI Instrument. When this happens follow these instructions:

1. Open Reason
2. Verify that Yamaha MX is added as a Control Surface – See Setup Steps above
3. Add New MIDI Instrument Track
4. On the “Rack” go to the “Hardware Interface” and click the > to display the full Hardware Interface controls
5. Click on the ADVANCED MIDI button to enable the “Advanced MIDI Device” interface
6. Verify that it Displays the “Name” of the Yamaha Control Surface used in Step 9 above
7. On the “Channel 1” control click the down arrow and Select the MIDI Instrument In to enable the MX to control the MIDI Instrument
