Hi folks,
I've just got my hands on an MX49 for my top board, great bit of kit! But here's the dilemma...
I've programmed my first performance with some bread and butter sounds (using the editor) so MIDI channel 1 has a few layers of brass, Channel 2 has some layers of strings etc, and then a few more performances with some specific songs. Is there any way to have the "Part select" on by default?
In a gig scenario, I'll occasionally jump to another performance, then when I come back to my bread and butter in the heat of a gig I don't want to have to remember to hit part select every time cause I'm sure I'll forget. Without it I hit "2" to play my strings and instead I change the brass on part 1 to an electric piano if you see what I mean...
Any help is appreciated.

I'm sorry but while you can send a Bank Select/Program Change to the MX while it is on any screen and successfully have it change PERFORMANCES (63/80 + PC#) but it will not remain on the PART SELECT screen. That you will have to remember to do.

I know what you mean, Craig,i do that too, fairly often; but as Bad M says, I think it's just a matter of time till we get the right habit learned! It's a great system both ways. 🙂
