Hi,
sorry if this is a dumb question but i am an midi beginner.
I will buy a MX61 to use as a top tier keyboard above my nord electro 5 HP.
I want to have one performance to play organ on the nord electro, lets say over midi chanel 15, while no sounds on the mx are being played. All other performances should play sounds on the mx while no midi is transmitted on this chanel 15.
Is this possible? Or is there a better way to do this?

Yes, this is possible. The MX can be setup so that when you need to play your external device, you simply select [Part Select 15]
You can setup your Performances so that you are playing internal MX data except when you select [15] which can setup to play the external MIDI device.
