Why piano parts transposed down an octave (Note Shift=-12) in many B.O.M.B. (Best of Motif Bank) Performances

I have loaded the B.O.M.B. (Best of Motif Bank) Performance set on my MX88.
I was surprised to find that most performances were transposed down by an octave, wasting much of the lower range of the piano sounds with notes that are too low in pitch. I don't understand why most of the piano performances have both Part 1 and Part 2 transposed down an octave (Note Shift = -12). I would prefer not to have Transpose Octave +1 on all the time for BOMB performances.

I can go and edit Part 1 and Part 2 in every performance to turn off the Note Shift (set each of the parts back to Note Shift = 0) and store each of the performances again.
But it is a real pain and a waste of time to have to do this. I can also do this in Velas MX Total Librarian and patch editor.

Am I missing something here, or is there some reason that BOMB performance parts are note shifted down an octave? Is this perhaps to make the range of the performances more appropriate for 61-key keyboard range?

Correct. I think they made different BOMB banks for the 49, 61 and 88 Key versions. The difference being the OCT shift.

There is no separate MX88 version of the BOMB banks (i.e. a different download from the MX49 and MX61 versions) that I could find. Or was one created and I'm just not looking in the right place on YamahaSynth to find it?

Hi @BadMister,

Thanks for your help.
I checked again on Yamaha Musicsoft and found what I was looking for in the B.O.M.B version 2. This seems to have been added since the last time I looked.
See https://www.yamahamusicsoft.com/synth/mx-best-of-motif-bank-2-bomb-2.
There is now an MX88 specific version BOM2MX88.X5A: The MX88 volume has a piano focus with acoustic and electric pianos, bass/keyboard splits, piano/electric piano layers and so on.
