I've never owned a Roland but I miss the workstation arrangement.

Sort of bored with the YC61 and Montage and I hate using a computer.

Anyone have the Fantom and like it?

I didn't like how it locked up on me - so I'm waiting for confirmation that this issue has been fixed.

The latest update was fairly major and brought some promised features folks were waiting on.

I do think the instrument has progressed fairly well through firmware updates. There's just the question if it's going to croak during a gig. I can't deal with that.

I currently own a Roland stage piano (not workstation). I haven't owned a Roland workstation.

Current Yamaha Synthesizers: Montage Classic 7, Motif XF6, S90XS, MO6, EX5R

Yes and that dreaded boot time and the Korg was a computer essentially with noisy fan.

Not sure about the Roland yet but did hear it's 40 seconds max to boot when loaded.

Neither one probably foolproof for a gig but I'm only using it in my studio.

The Yamaha platform is the best for gig reliability I'm sure.
