Bad Mister, Phil G, was ver helpful on 01xray forum to me n the past and know he is still around. One of my studios has an 01x and two i88x, which are still in daily use, with 32 bit Windows 7. It would be a tiny job surely to make this a 64bit driver to those with the codes or paid for the codes. There are man you around the world that still use this kit and are used to operating it. It can't be right for a product and purchasers to have been abondoned after only 7 years and surely sothat Menezes can write the drivers as compensation for the past handful of years in the wilderness,

Many more years have gotten away than you think. Thanks for being a loyal mLAN user all these years... I can't beleave it's been fourteen years since the release of the 01x mLAN Mixing console. And its been ten years since the release of the last product that used mLAN.

The Motif XS (2007-2010) was the transition product that moved mLAN to the YamahaSteinberg FW spec. mLAN was true networking - every device could be made a Network master. Unfortunately for networking, the computer Operating Systems that were needed to support this concept changed enough that the peer-to-peer version of the system took over. The computer companies really didn't like the idea that the Network, once configured, could run without the computer... long story short... the computer remains a necessary component in future systems.

Not sure what you are looking for when you ask about customer loyalty, I'm not that type of engineer so I don't know if it is easy or difficult to make a 64-bit version of the driver... but it sure is good to hear that there are folks out there using the old mLAN system.

USB has finally made it to be able to handle multiple bi-directional channels - and enough gear uses USB to ensure its future for a little while. USB always had the speed, it simply didn't have the bandwidth to handle musical demands for professional recording... so the Networking of mLAN morphed to the YSFW driver which morphed to the current MIDI and audio via USB (the TF series Yamaha mixers are 34-in/out via USB, the Montage synth is 32-in/6-out via USB).
