I was refered to Bad_Mister for this issue from another forum.
Basically, I can't back up on a PC or copy/paste Voice Styles to HD from USER drive of Tyros5. When I try to copy/paste voice styles which I've created myself from User Drive to HD1 Drive, it doesn't go through and I'm getting a message stating:" Protected" on PC and if I do it on my Tyros5, it says you cannot save this type of files on HD. Is there a way around?
I've created the .WAVE files used to make my AUDIO STYLES's elements myself using Cubase. There is no option in Audio Phraser to save an audio style of .AUS as protected. According to Tyros5 specification the dedicated memory for audio styles is 124MB which I really don't know where is located. I've no idea whether the 124MB is allocated from the optional 1GB expansion memory or it is residing on Tyros 5's motherboard. On YEM there are separate indicators for both which shows the used and total amount of memory, but on the actual Tyros 5 keyboard under HD1 there is the Expansion Folder which refers to the expansion memory and there isn't any specific folder within it to be considered the 124MB of specified memory for Audio Styles. The Audio Styles created on Yamaha's Audio Phraser and made a pack on YEM always gets saved in Expansion folder of HD1 without any additional accompaniments such as Bass, Chord1, ... etc. When I add accompaniments to these audio styles and try to save them in Tyros 5's hard desk or expansion memory I'm getting the error message stating:" Audio Styles cannot be saved on external memory." and I'm forced to save it on the little 6.7MB of internal memory. After saving it into internal memory once again I cannot move or copy/paste them to HD or Expansion memory. Kindly, assist me if there is way around this.
