Noticed this morning that a forum reply showed up normally without having to use the '...' hamburger shortcut.
Made a reply to that thread and it posted, and later displayed, normally without a gateway, or other, error.
Hopefully this signals the return to a working forum!
We'll see.
EDIT: Well, it took a minute but eventually the post showed up without the gateway error. Still, you have to give it "forever" after pressing "send". The edit went quicker, though.

Circling back after a couple of replies ...
Looks like some old threads that I know I had to press "..." to show the other replies are fixed.
After the first logjam, it looks like replying to message is within the 2-5 second wait time between sending (finishing) the reply and the system accepting it and refreshing the screen. That's reasonable.
Seems fixed for now. At least minimally functional for the average user - which is a good thing.

... also updated my ideascale to reflect it seems "fixed" now. Usually you have to give it a couple weeks to be sure since often things would be in flux and sometimes revert. But hopeful.
Maybe with the forum working and soundcloud and soundmondo or any other things Yamaha has for marketing Montage M v3.0 can have a big announce with FDSP, VL, FM-X upgraded to FM-XFSY (FSY for FS1r formants and noise, FSY for SY99 RCM/AFM which allows for modulation of FM using AWM - maybe GS1 algorithms, arbitrary algorithms, feedback on every operator, etc), Motif-XF like "full" sequencer. The sampling stuff can still be kept on the computer side. I don't see a big push for this anywhere. I'm sure there's some that want granular synth, wavetables, vector, more modeled (YC organ, pianos, etc not otherwise covered by VL/FDSP). Not expecting any of this, but always hopeful that getting the house in order is prelude to something bigger.
Maybe something for Superbooth in May? Feb 5th Windows released beta ("Canary" ) support of MIDI 2.0 with a new stack using outside collaboration. This is known buggy stuff but they are inching along. Even the past "ho-hum" firmware update is tied up in Windows towing the line.

Montage M 68 of 121 IdeaScale Assessment stage submissions.
That should be a good sign that they are at least looking at things.
On the up side Ben Israel did post a comment on Idea #3117 'Add key range, octave and transpose to scene parameters' a week or so ago:
While I cannot say exactly when or what the final implementation will be, we are actively developing features outlined in this request and they will show up in a future update.
Updates like that are certainly welcome even if they aren't always forthcoming.
Overall, in the last year and a half we haven't really found any significant 'bugs', just a few odd quirks that take some thinking about how to get around. The biggest issue we found is related to the Zone functionality: removal of the Zone Master switch and Arp MIDI OUT.
On the down side the Montage/Modx/Modx+ still lists 702 of 1k in assessment with just 26 of 1k 'Complete'
