This is just my own take on the current forum issue - I do NOT have any official info.

The problem has been reported to two Yamaha support sites. Blake is generally the person that looks after the forum but for the past week or so he doesn't seem to be available.

We all hope he is ok and wish him well if he isn't. Hopefully he is just on a well-deserved vacation or at a trade show. Or he could be out spending that big Xmas bonus he got last year for getting the new Montage M models out the door.

The posting of new threads seems to be working fine.

The posting of replies appears to result in:

1. an extremely lengthy delay before any noticeable action occurs

2. an ultimate timeout and the display of a 'gateway' error message as reported in a thread by Jason

3. the reply being added to a 'revisions' list - you can later visit the thread and see all of the revisions you might have made

4. replies can NOT actually be accessed by users although the initial 30-50 characters of a reply (partial 1st line) is visible

The long delay when adding a reply (#1 above) can make you think your reply wasn't added so you might hit the 'add' button again. That will result in a duplicate reply being added to the 'revisions' list.

If you do decide to add a reply you might want to choose the first 30-50 charters of the 1st line carefully since those are the only thing other users will ever see until the problem gets fixed.

Let's all keep our fingers crossed that Blake is ok.
