Hi there,
I understand that when you want to add a new part to a performance you can hit the "+" sign on the next spare slot and it will take you to the "Performance Merge" page.
I have tested this on many performances and this is indeed what happens.
However I have one performance which I have created and when I press the "+" on the next spare part, it goes to "category search".
This is not a major issue as I can add the parts one using the "Part 1" , "Part 2" options etc.
However I am wondering why this behaviour would be happening so that I can avoid this happening again.
I understand that when you want to add a new part to a performance you can hit the "+" sign on the next spare slot and it will take you to the "Performance Merge" page.
True - but with one CAVEAT - that 'next spare slot' must NOT have any occupied slots after it.
So if use "+" on slot 2 when slots 1 and 6 are occupied it will bring up "Category Search".
However I have one performance which I have created and when I press the "+" on the next spare part, it goes to "category search".
Two questions:
1. what slot number are you using "+" on?
2. what is the slot number of the highest occupied slot?
"Performance Merge" has to have room for ALL parts of any performance you might choose and there is no way to know ahead of time what performance you might choose.
I can reproduce your problem ONLY if there is an occupied slot after the "+" sign slot used
1. new Init Normal (AWM2)
2. copy part 1 to part 6
3. press "+" on slot 2
4. Category Search comes up
5. Exit category search
6. press "+ on slot 7
7. Performance Merge comes up
Just a reminder - the system effects will NOT be brought along with either method.
When something as integral to using the presets of an instrument as "Category Search" needs an article on Mastering it, there's probably something wrong with the design of the facility.

Everything you post is garbage.
