Our own Bad Mister has launched a new weekly series on Performances: MONTAGE "Piano Electro" - A Motif XF Conversion.

Thanks for the content, between this and the live sets I have my weekend booked for some scuba. Keepem coming, I find these comprehensive articles and performance samples so helpful in burning my brain cells.

You’re welcome... we will be wading out into deeper waters with each installment. Once you begin to construct your own Performances MONTAGE takes on a whole new level of excitement... hopefully each Performance can introduce you to some new areas and concepts...by building on what was started in the Motif XF.

As mentioned in the article, all 1354 XF Voices appear as Single Part Performances in MONTAGE - And most of the 7881 Arps do as well... we invite you to expand on these... the XF had six Control Sets and two Assign Knobs per PART; The MONTAGE has sixteen Control Sets and eight Assign Knobs per PART... so feel free to experiment and expand on the data provided. The XF Performance was limited to four keyboard controlled Parts, MONTAGE you have eight. So go for it!
