Turn off reface dx and hold down F#3-A3-C#4 and power on. The firmware version will appear in the screen. This information, btw, is in the reface updater download package for version 1.30 located here.

Thanks. I found it when I updated to 1.30

One of my biggest qualms with the DX was that the looper metronome used a note from the patch you were in, making it very difficult to play along with. I updated from 1.20 to 1.30 and it's much better now. The new sound isn't quite a click but it's easier to mentally isolate from what you're playing.

My second qualm was that the MIDI clock didn't quite sync with the clocks on my other equipment. It might be my imagination, but since the update it seems to take much longer to get out of sync. Still not good. I have to sync the DX to an external clock, and it doesn't pass that info along to other devices in the chain. Bummer.

Before adding the DX to my rig, everything was routed so that I could do everything without switching cables. If I use the DX as my master keyboard (because it's such a nice keyboard) I'm back to cable-switching for some uses, and all because of the clock problem.
