On board speakers work fine. With headphones, however, the Footage sound almost completely cuts out when the Rotary switch is in the off position. I've noticed that the only sound that I can get to come out of the unit is the Reverb.
I have tried:
1) factory reset w/ C5 note
2) using batteries instead of PA130 supply
3) different headphones
4) different male to female adapters
I was curious if this is due to a defective unit, or if this was just a common thing.
Thanks in advance for any replies.
I sorry, lost track of this post... what do you mean by the "Footage sound almost completely cuts out"?
If you set the Rotary Speaker to OFF, it simply bypasses the EFFECT completely. The sound will be the YC without Rotary Speaker.
What "male to female adapters" are you referring to...?
Thanks for your follow up!
What I mean is that there is no (or almost no) organ tone through the headphone output unless the a rotary effect is on.
The male to female adapter refers to the device that I use to connect headphones to the jack.
(1/8' to 1/4' or something of the sort).
I was curious if this was a bug, or if it was just more likely that there is a faulty connection involving the headphone output jack.
*** 1/4" - 1/8" haha..
Yeah, I'd say check your headphone connection... sounds like the weakest link in your situation. Make sure all connections are secure. Test it in some other phones and with a proper sound system, to make a comparison. Try to bypass your current headphone system entirely and see what results you get.
Hello,
Yesterday, I had the same effect as mentioned above : Rotary on off cuts the organ sound and only reverb brings it back.
Today, this is gone. I hadn't touched or plugged anything else in the meantime. Very strange.
BUT ... I simply LOVE the effect of this apparent bug : it gives an incredible depth to the sound (my whole family loved it too) and even adds a slow start to the sound, which is simply beautiful.
Does anybody know how to replicate this ?
Best regards,
Pierre
