Hi-
I know there's been some discussion about the lack of a sustain input on the Reface YC. And I know organs aren't supposed to have a sustain. (most of the time I'd avoid it too) 😉
However, occasionally I like to pound a chord on the organ, sustain it, and switch back to my Rhodes for cool Rhodes stuff... it kind lets you fake the sound of two keyboards in a band that only has one.
So... I'm wondering about a hack.
Has anyone tried to wire the MIDI out from a second keyboard (with a sustain pedal) to the MIDI in on the YC? Would it accept a sustain signal from the MIDI channel?
(I'd do it myself, but I haven't bought the reface yet, and I'm holding off until I figure out if this is an option).
I'm new to this board, so I apologize if this has been addressed (I did some searching and didn't see it before). If anyone has tried this, or has the rig setup to try it quickly, I'd love to hear about it.
Thanks,
theBob
The refaceYC, being an organ, does not have a Sustain function, however, the Tone Generator will respond to cc64 (Sustain) when sent in via MIDI from an external controller/device.

Thanks for replying quickly. It sounds like I can just dump midi out from my other keyboard into the reface, and be all set. Easy solution. If anyone's tried this, do et me know.
