Hi, as I understand it, you can transmit midi cc messages with the reface yc unit including the drawbars. Is this correct? Are the cc numbers listed in the data list fixed or can they be changed? As I understand it, they are fixed. Why did Yamaha decide to make it possible to transmit midi cc messages with the reface unit when the numbers are fixed? What am I supposed to be controlling externally with those sliders (or other buttons etc.) I dont understand what im supposed to do with those fixed cc numbers. Any insightful comments appreciated.

The reface YC Sends CC messages out via MIDI so that you record your performance as MIDI to your favorite DAW or Sequencer and play it back to the refaceYC.
