Hi,

I am new to the S90Es.
I would like to use a mic with the Grand Paino voice, and have done the following:
1.Connected a mic to the Analog input L
2. Edited/Initialized an existing Performance
3. Set the 'mic' using the Utility function
4. Set the required parameters in Common
5. Added in the Grad Piano voice as Part 1.

Results:
1. Can play the Grand Piano
2. Can simultaneously hear my vocals using headphones
3. Can record the Piano track in Reaper

Questions:
1. Is the analog input being converted and made available on MIDI
2. If it is, what do I need to do to record mic input on Reaper
3. If not, can the above be done in Multi, mode i.e. can the analog input be assigned to a Part/track
4. Other solution

Would very much appreciate the help, details if possible please,
Thank you.
Martin

No.

2. If it is, what do I need to do to record mic input on Reaper

It isn't. You need an audio interface to record audio to a computer

3. If not, can the above be done in Multi, mode i.e. can the analog input be assigned to a Part/track

No. not how it works.

You'll need an AUDIO INTERFACE.
AUDIO is actual sound that can be heard, recorded and played back.
MIDI is not sound, MIDI can not be heard... it can be recorded and played back, but requires an appropriate device to translate the data back into sound.

Thank you for the help, If I understand this, the analog signal from the iinstruments connected to the Analog input, is only being combined with the Voice d/a and being made available at the audio outputs.
