any way to change the keyboard octave with a foot pedal / switch

In a song I need to play piano and strings, but both have a so much wide extension on the keyboard that 88 keys are not enough, and for the final portion I need an extra octave.
I can handle this with the octave button, but the trouble is that it's a bit difficult for me to find it between the others while my hands are on the far right end of the keyboard.

Is there a way to trigger that button (or anyway change the octave) with a foot switch? Or any better solutions?

Not really.

I say that because while there is no direct way to transpose a keyboard with a foot switch, this is a synthesizer and a solution can usually be found. Without more details I would be guessing as to the best solution. I assume since you say 88 keys is not enough, that you are splitting the keyboard and need to extend the range on one side of the split. This can be accomplished by editing a Voice that reflects the sound you need shifted an octave to extend the range. Then you need a way to turn the one Off and this one On via a Foot Switch.

Before we get started, you will need the S90 XS/S70 XS Editor Standalone/VST to get at the Voice Edit parameters necessary to create customized Element

Thanks for your willingness, but I have no time for that kind of solution right now - I have to prepare that and other songs in a couple of weeks 😮 (and in this, learn at least something about this wonderful synth to be able to play it 😀 )
I hope this summer I'll have more time to deepen my knowledge about the synth and the editor.

If by "turn the one off" you mean something like the result of clicking one of the PART ON/OFF buttons, then that's a no no: that would instanty cut the sound.
Otherwise, as I said above, no time now to try this all.

Let me just ask: I've opened up the data list PDF and searched for "transpose" / "octave" and I found a couple of results - but I have very very little understanding ATM of the MIDI protocol / setting, so bear with me if this question makes no sense.
Can one of these commands be used here?

No I meant creating a couple of Voices and using the XA CONTROL to accomplish this there would be no instant cutting off of the sound.

Let us know when you have time to sit with the Editor.
