S90XS Split Keyboard Question

I've split my keyboard so that I have piano at the lower end and strings at the top (above C5). But I want the strings to play at a lower octave (around the C2 level). I've tried using the Octave plus/minus buttons, but they seem to apply to the whole keyboard and not just the upper split.
Does anyone know how I can achieve octave lowering just for one half of the split?

The front panel TRANSPOSE buttons affect the entire Keyboard (all sounds). If you want to “Note Shift” a Single Part you must edit that individual Part.

Part parameters affect only the individual Part you are editing, this allows you to shift the lower sound higher and the upper sound lower as you may require.

The Synthesizer has a “Note Shift” limit as to how far each Part can be shifted. +/-24 semitones (2 octaves)
Call up your Performance
Press EDIT
Select “Play Mode”
Select “Note Shift”

If you require more Octave shifting, then the solution is to create a Voice that is naturally pitched lower than usual, then use that User Voice in your Performance. In order to do this type of editing you will need the S90 XS/S70 XS EDITOR - see page 46 in your Reference Manual “Element Edit” and the parameter you’ll want (Page 47) Tune > Coarse (Coarse Tuning)

What you are going to do is change the Coarse tuning of this Voice’s Elements so that it will meet your requirements.
You’ll find that you can Coarse tune Elements +48/-48. Up four octaves or down four octaves. Then when you place this Voice in your Performance you can Note Shift it yet another two octaves!

You can download the Yamaha S90 XS/S70 XS Editor from the official Yamaha Download site
S90 XS/S70 XS Downloads

Are you able to use the Editor.. let us know. Happy to help.

That works perfectly - I do have the editor, but managed to do it in the instrument following your instructions.
Thanks very much for taking the time to help:-)
