HI! I use S08 connected via USB and Windows 10 OS.
Cakewalk by Bandlab as sequencer.
Set synth in MULTI mode, local switch is off.
My issue is as follows: Add a new MIDI track, assign channel 1, open patch browser, browse through differrent patches an listen how they sound, sounds change and every patch sounds as it should.
Arm track and record, everything goes fine until i add a second track and select another channel etc etc
Second track does not sound, ch1 its ok, but ch2 does not sound
I can see meters display signal but i cant hear anything, also if i record something it goes ok, but i cant monitor because ch2 does not sound.
I've tried factory reset synth and clean install cakewalk and reinstalling drivers.
I am completly lost by now. Please help! Thanks in advance!!
Just a guess ...
Cakewalk would need to echo back (MIDI "thru" feature on DAW/software) the incoming MIDI to the output so the S08 receives slider movements. I think if you turned local control ON - you would also see that this impacts the problem (positively) although that's not the "proper" end solution.
The reason I'm jumping to this is thinking perhaps it's just that Ch 2's volume is set to a zero level and one way to increase the volume is to use sliders which, under this configuration, would require some setup on the DAW side. And a shot in the dark that the DAW configuration is the missing "link" in this MIDI signal chain.

Thank you for taking some time to answer, Jason. I appreciate your help.
I will check the echo on Cakewalk but im almost certain its on. Unfortunately the S08 is receiving slider movements, had to try it on ch 1. I will check again to be sure.
Turning local ON is a great idea for a momentary workaround to record a part, but when it comes to playback it won't make any sound.
I hope you are right about the DAW beeing the missing link, i am really worried about the S08. It used to work fine.
Thank you very much.
