Sound cuts off randomly!

Hi, my s90xs is not working the way it should since today.
I press a few keys and hold them (let’s say a C chord in my right hand with a lower C in my left hand) and suddenly after a random amout of time the sound cuts off totally! It can happen after a millisecond or after 10 seconds or anything inbetween. It seems very random when it happens or not, sometimes it doesn’t cut off at all.

It is the same problem with all sounds, well I’ve tried like ten sounds anyway.
It is not a matter of running out of polyphony, that I’m sure of.

The problem is the same wheter I use output or headphones.

What has happened?
Any suggestions what I can do?

It has firmware 1.06

Kind regards from Sweden

Sorry you are having issues with your instrument. Sounds like a broken or loose connection — it should be looked at by an authorized service center.

Hi Bad Mister!

Problem solved, got some great advice at Motifator.com!

I unplugged all cables (L&R and USB-cable) and reinserted them.
Now everything is working just fine, a fellow musician at motifator.com suggested the following:

...the most likely scenario relates to the USB connection. It’s possible for there to be MIDI data feedback via USB, which can overload the system. If that’s happening it’s typically due to some incorrect routing of MIDI data in a computer application.

Well, it's working again so I'm happy!

Kind regards from Sweden!

Glad you got it working — I don’t recall you mentioning a computer or a USB connection. Just the main output and headphones (curious).

Hi, you're right, I never mentioned which connections I had.
I only said that I tried it with L&R main and the Headphones... my bad!
Will try to remember the next time I ask a question to describe which connections I'm using! 🙂

Kind regards from Sweden!
