Publishing a series of retrospective articles seems like one way to gather current feedback on what's valued in past technology. At one point Yamaha was asking if VL, AN, FSDP, or something else should be added as an engine to Montage. Not sure how that effort is going - or if it was completely hypothetical and more informing future products.
